The Black 2008 Saab Turbo X Goes at Boston

General Motors’ Saab division continue to celebrate the three decades of its
leadership in turbocharging. After presenting the Saab Turbo X at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the Swedish automaker now makes the 2007 New England International Auto Show in Boston as the another stage for showcasing the vehicle’s features and capability.

Steve Shannon, Saab Automobile USA General Manager commented:
“The Turbo X is the ultimate performance expression of the new Saab 9-3 range. It delivers levels of driver involvement and dynamic chassis control never experienced before from Saab. Like the enthusiasts who have remained loyal from the first turbo models, we are very proud of our turbocharging heritage. The new Turbo X is one of the most satisfying Saabs ever built.”

Saab announced at the show that the 2008 model of the turbocharged Saab Turbo X is scheduled to hit the markets in spring of 2008. The Turbo X will be available in Sport Sedan and five-door SportCombi body styles and will carry a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $42,510.

The 2008 Saab Turbo X presented at the New England International Auto Show is equipped with a 2.8L V-6 turbo engine that generates 280 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 295 lb.-ft. (400 Nm) of torque between 2,150 rpm and 4,500 rpm.

Other features include:

– 18-inch alloy wheels in three-spoke design with standard 235/45 R18 tires
– electronically controlled, rear limited-slip differential
– Saab XWD
– sport-tuned suspension,
– metallic jet black exterior
– matte grey front grille
– deeper lip spoiler
– diffuser-like insert panel
– rear spoiler that extends the line of the trunk deck
– Twin rhomboid-shaped tailpipes
– black-appointed leather sport seating with additional bolstering
– carbon-fiber finish to the door inserts, glove box and gear shift console
– thick-rimmed, soft-grip leather steering wheel
– Turbo X boost gauge

For sure, this model also features black floor mats like the Acura CL floor mats found on this site.
